Alert Issued For Wanted Long Island Man

A man who resisted arrest after being stopped for allegedly drunk driving on Long Island is wanted by New York State Police troopers after failing to make court appearances.

An alert was issued by New York State Police Troop L in East Meadow on Wednesday, June 2 for Manuel Cuji, who is wanted by the Nassau County First District Court on charges that include resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.

According to police, Cuji was arrested for an alleged DWI on Dec. 2, 2018, and a bench warrant was later issued for his arrest by the court on Dec. 17, 2018.

Cuji, 46, was described as being 5-foot tall weighing approximately 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts has been asked to contact New York State Police investigators in Troop L by calling (631) 756-3300 or emailing CrimeTip@troopers.ny.gov.
